Single System Ureterocele

Prenatal diagnosis of bilateral hydronephorosis and right hydroureter. Evaluation by ultrasound after delivery showed severe right hydroureteronephrosis (Figure 1), mild left hydronephrosis (Figure 2) and a ureterocele in the bladder.(Figure 3) Further evaluation showed a ureterocele in the bladder on VCUG, but no reflux. An IVP showed mild to moderate left hydroureteroneprosis and severe right hydroureteronephrosis and obstruction. (Figure 4) On late films, the ureterocele filled with contrast material, confirming that this was a single system ureterocele. (Figure 5) The patient underwent endoscopic incision of the ureterocele.
