A 6 year-old boy had urinary frequency and hematuria. An outside CT scan showed a thick-walled bladder with an area of marked thickening that protruded into the lumen (Figure 1). He was thought to have rhabdomyosarcoma of the bladder. He came to our hospital, where an ultrasound exam was done and confirmed the CT findings. The focal area of abnormality was in the region of the dome of the bladder (Figure 2). Cystoscopy with deep mucosal biopsies and permanent sections showed eosinophilic cystitis, not tumor.
