UPJ Obstruction with Co-existing Reflux

1-month-old baby boy. Prenatal diagnosis of right hydronephrosis. Postnatal ultrasound showed right hydronephrosis. VCUG showed reflux up to the right stenotic UP junction (Figure 1) and then into the dilated pelvis. The contrast material became dilute when it entered the pelvis. It was diluted by the non-opaque uring that was trapped there (Figure 2). There was also grade 2 reflux on the left. Drainage film showed trapping of contrast material above the obstruction (Figure 3). MAG 3 scan showed a right T 1/2 of 18 minutes. There was 40% uptake on the right and 60% uptake on the left. The baby underwent right dismembered pyeloplasty.
