A 4 x 7 cm segment of cadaveric fascia lata (folded lengthwise to 2 x 7 cm) is then passed into the tunnel and using an 18 gauge needle, the prolene suture ends are passed through the corners 5.0 mm from each end effectively creating a 6.0 cm sling. The sutures are then tied in position.
